04 / FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions about this workflow
Does it work on moving vehicles and angled license plates?
Yes. The AI model detects and tracks both front and rear license plates across moving vehicles, lane changes, and angled camera views.
What if no license plates appear in my video?
If zero license plates are detected, the job halts automatically and 100% of your reserved credits are refunded.
Should I use Gaussian or Box blur for license plates?
Both are supported. Box blur creates a crisp pixelated block look, while Gaussian blur produces a smooth optical defocus. You can switch between them for 0 extra credits.
How do I ensure fast-moving plates stay covered?
Increase the Mask Expansion slider by a few pixels so the blur region extends slightly beyond the plate frame.
Can I blur both faces and license plates in the same project?
You can use Custom Prompt mode in VideoBGBlur (e.g.Keep/Target both faces and license plates) to redact multiple target categories in one pass.
Is original dashcam audio preserved?
Yes. The exported H.264 MP4 retains your original audio stream.
